Professor Richard Trappl

I was invited to give series lectures on Chinese linguistics at the University of Vienna in June 2012 and met Professor Richard Trappl, the director of the Konfuzius-Institut at the University of Vienna, who is extremely interesting and worth introducing here. 

Professor Trappl speaks a very influent native-like Chinese. He was a student at BLCU nearly 40 years ago and was sent to work with the peasants in countryside, together with many other oversea students. He had a lots of memory about that time and the photo below recorded the moment of the history...

Now he has become a famous expert of Chinese studies and have many friends in China...

前言(一)

今天是端午节，维佳兄昨日发来一首自己创作的小诗庆贺，诗歌让人想起同游那拉提草原时载歌载舞、觥筹交错之乐，我于是也随性和一首，不讲工整，但求好玩，因为都是新疆迷，所以在此与关心我“梦回新疆”系列日志的朋友一起分享。

   端午(一)

           张维佳

艾叶正黄，粽米飘香，

端午时至，情深意长。

载歌载舞，觥筹爵觞，

惟其嘉矣，颂汝安康!

注：1. 标题为我自己编辑时所加

       2. 惟其嘉矣取“维佳”之谐音

    端午(二)

           司富珍       

艾叶虽黄兮没有粽香，

端午将至兮追思亦长，

何日载舞兮还我爵觞，

夫斯真心兮和颂安康!

注：1. 这个端午我独自一人居留澳门寓所，为8号的香港会议准备论文，为14日的北京活动整理材料，无心去珠海找粽子吃，却正好抽空品玩朋友们发来的各种或自创或拷贝的短信和PPT：也是一种记忆。

       2。和维佳兄句，末句“夫斯真心”中一三两个字也是“富珍”之谐音。

前言(二)

端午节与维佳兄二首小诗上传QQ空间后，司马塔也即兴在评论中加了一首。早就知道哈萨克民族是充满诗情的民族，知道哈萨克的阿肯弹唱是非常珍贵的民族文化遗产，却不知道身边的塔里哈提就是理论语言学队伍中的阿肯。欣喜之余，决定将“浮屠弥勒”放在评论中诗句再次扶正。作为端午(三)并列于此，以飨众友。同时，为学习和弘扬阿肯弹唱之优良传统，特将本日志标题更名为端午节汉哈阿肯弹唱。同时，将阿肯弹唱的有关文化背景知识作为附录(二)补充于后，以帮助对这一哈萨克文化不甚了解的外乡朋友....

端午(三)

塔勒哈提

 司老师，端午节快乐！端午节又叫中国的诗人节。诗社过节，我也个凑热闹。

五月五日兮艾符趋习俗
节至端午兮异乡倍思亲
载歌载舞兮黄酒话真情
浮屠弥勒兮千里颂安康!

塔勒哈提自注：和司老师句，末句“浮屠弥勒”浮屠为“塔”。弥勒取字“勒”。我的名字是哈语的，入诗难，只能将就一下。

前言(三)

突然间明白了李白当年为何诗情“三千丈”，据称李白出生于哈萨克大草原上的碎叶城(也称托克马克)，在千佛洞前写下了千古绝句“静夜思”。李太白时而浪漫，时而豪放，他当时一定游走于西域各地，参与过不少阿肯弹唱之类的活动吧。诗人的诞生需要土壤。我们常说“不到新疆不知道祖国之大，不到伊犁，不知道新疆之美”，这里再加一句：“不到西域，难解太白诗情之源”。于是突发重返新疆结“阿肯诗社”的念头......并续塔里哈提诗句再吟一首，作为“端午(四)”续于后，以承继太白之狂放和阿肯之情长!

端午(四)

香港会期即至，本想潜心作文，见塔里哈提诗不忍停笔，欲学阿肯将弹唱进行到底。于是又随性乱吟一首：

浮屠弥勒哈诗题，

屈子遗风阿肯继。

镜湖园中后生畏，

逸仙故里情思寄。

注：1. 依照司马塔自己的做法，首句乃塔里哈提全名改写。

       2. 端午节是纪念诗人屈原的节日，而老塔则是哈族阿肯，两种文化交融一起，别有风味。

       3. 镜湖是澳门的别称。“后生畏”是“后生可畏”的节略，本意想说“畏后生”，可是不太合辙，于是调整语序，不过调整后的语序正合哈萨克语SOV的常规语序。不够工整，姑妄言之姑听之。

       4. 人称澳门是孙逸仙第二故乡。

前言(四)

今天一早上班，收到北语崔希亮校长端午诗一首，随即又和一首。因为都与端午有关，虽基本无关新疆，但念其神韵与阿肯弹唱相和，因此作为端午(五)和端午(六)再次补录于后，复与各位诗友共享。

端午(五)

      崔希亮

   辛卯端午节

京中细雨过端阳，

长啸依然念汨江。

天问无人知何在，

离骚书剑两茫茫。

曾经沧海难为水，

煮鹤焚琴竟平常。

忽忆田园剪春韭，

何妨种菊学陶郞。

端午(六)

尘世无人题天问，

注：1. 以上题名均为本人编辑时所加。崔希亮教授原诗“辛卯端午节”在诗尾，调整位置于作者名后。

      2. "尘世无人题天问，仙谷有士吟国殤。"二句实感叹时世而题，个中含义读者各见端倪，不必在此宣讲。

The Tao of Physics

My friend Tai introduced a wonderful book, The Tao of Physics, to me today. I read the first chapter of it and found it very interesting. The book aims at improving the image of science by showing that there is an essential harmony between the spirit of Eastern wisdom and Western Science. It suggests that modern physics goes far beyond technology, that the Tao of physics can be a path with a heart, a way to spiritual knowledge and self-realization.

 The following is a poetry what the book quoted from Brihad-aranyaka Upanishad, an older and primary text of Upanishads of the Hindu Religion:

          He who, dwelling in all things,

          Yet is other than all things,

          Whom all things do not know,

          Whose body all things are,

          Who controls all things from within-----

          He is your Soul, the Inner Controller,

          The Immortal.
